He believes that the Nigerian side has quality, describing them as a team packed with exceptional talent and top-level European experience.
Uganda have found themselves in the same group as Nigeria, Tunisia and Tanzania.
The Cranes will lock horns with the three-time African champions in their final group fixture at the Fez Stadium.
Put, however, said his team will only respect Nigeria and the other teams in Group C but will not approach the games with fear.
The Belgian tactician told CAF’s official website, “They [Nigeria]are a perennial powerhouse. There are threats everywhere from their squad with top talent and European experience.”
Put went on to note that Tunisia is highly organised, while Tanzania brings energy and familiarity.
He added, “We will respect all of them, but we are not intimidated. We will give a good account of ourselves.”
