Outspoken Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has dropped another political bombshell, accusing officials around President Bola Tinubu of turning access to the Nigerian leader into a cash-for-entry racket.
The Borno-born lawmaker, in an interview with Arise TV, claimed that those managing the corridors of power in Aso Rock now demand bribes before anyone can see the president.
“I don’t have a chance to see the president. The only time I can see the president is when he is going to an event,” Ndume fumed.
“This is how they run the government. I’m telling you, they don’t have people there. The government is dominated by Kakistocrats and kleptocrats. If you want to see the president, they will ask you how much,” the lawmaker added.
He alleged that the presidency has been hijacked by selfish aides who have built a wall around the president.
“I wrote to them that I want to see the president to discuss some financial issues, but they were playing games as if they want you to go to heaven,” Ndume lamented.
The senator’s revelation comes amid rising public frustration over governance and a widening gap between the president and ordinary Nigerians.
