President Bola Tinubu has vowed to wipe out terrorism and restore Nigeria’s global pride, declaring that his administration will “fly the flag of peace, unity, and prosperity higher than ever.”

Speaking at the first Federal Executive Council meeting since July, held inside the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, Tinubu fired up his cabinet with a message of resilience and renewed purpose.

“We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all of you that we will defeat terrorism. The task ahead is to move forward with clarity of purpose guided by the Renewed Hope agenda to build a prosperous Nigeria,” he said.

The President’s declaration came just days after U.S. President Donald Trump labelled Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” — a move the Federal Government described as misleading and unfair.

Tinubu, however, brushed aside the criticism, saying his focus is on building stronger alliances and driving growth.

“Despite political headwinds and fears, we will continue to engage with our partners. The success of the $2.3bn Eurobond, which was oversubscribed, is a sign of confidence in our economy. The task ahead is immense, but we are resolved to move forward with unity and purpose,” he affirmed.

Tinubu also praised his ministers for their commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging them to “keep pushing forward” as Nigeria fights terrorism, rebuilds its economy, and reclaims its standing among nations.
