The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is eligible to feature for the Super Eagles in Sunday’s crucial playoff clash against DR Congo.
CAF clarified that cautions accumulated during the World Cup qualification rounds will not carry over into the playoffs. Only players serving confirmed suspensions will remain ineligible. This ruling means Ndidi, who had been at risk due to yellow card accumulation, will be available for selection as Nigeria aims to book a spot in the next stage of the competition.
