Emergency responders in France, including police and firefighters, have rescued Alexis Beka Beka, a football player for the OGC Nice Football Club, who wanted to commit suicide because of a reported breakup.
According to reports in France, the player has been safely taken by emergency services and is now out of danger.
The 22-year-old had threatened to commit suicide by jumping off the Viaduc de Magnan Bridge, which is 100 meters above ground level.
Beka became suicidal following a breakup with his girlfriend and announced on social media that he was going to take his life.
