Senator Adams Oshiomhole has set tongues wagging on social media after controversial comments he made on Channels Television while defending the Federal Government’s economic reforms.

Confronted with claims that the promised radical reforms were hurting ordinary Nigerians, Oshiomhole rejected the narrative outright.

Responding to the question, he said, “The truth is we promised radical reforms.”

He then challenged the definition of hardship being pushed in the debate, asking, “Who are the average persons? You pick these things from the mouth of the people.”

Taking the argument further, the senator questioned the basis of public complaints, saying, “Have you gone to see people complaining? There are Nigerians now saying food is becoming too cheap.”

Oshiomhole maintained that the concerns raised during the interview were not supported by facts, insisting that the claims were largely speculative and not backed by verifiable evidence.
