… claim corroborated by US President Biden
The Israeli army, on Wednesday, denied being responsible for the horrendous airstrike that killed hundreds of civilians at the Ali-Aha Baptist hospital in the city of Gaza, saying it had “evidence” that Hamas militants were responsible for the attack.
According to the Army, “the evidence—which we are sharing with you all—confirms that the explosion at the hospital in Gaza was caused by an Islamic Jihad rocket that misfired,” military spokesman Daniel Hagari told a press conference in Tel Aviv.
Israel’s denial is corroborated by President Joe Biden of the United States of America, who, as earlier reported by MUK TV, is on a solidarity visit to the country.
Biden is quoted as having said, “I was deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday. And based on what I’ve seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you.”
This denial by the Israeli Army comes a day after an explosion in a hospital in the city of Gaza killed 500 people, sparking widespread condemnation from Palestinian allies in the Middle East and beyond.
“There was no IDF (Israeli army) fire by land, sea, or air that hit the hospital,” Hagari said.
“Our radar system tracked missiles fired by terrorists in Gaza at the time of the explosion, and the trajectory analysis of the rockets shows the rockets were fired in close proximity to the hospital.”
Hamas, however, has rebuffed Israel’s comment about the strike, saying, “Its outrageous lies do not deceive anyone.”
“Israel is directly responsible for this horrific massacre that was carried out… with American weapons only the occupation possesses,” Hamas added in their statement.
