Pastor David Ogbueli has set off intense debate after delivering a sermon condemning certain sexual practices within marriage, which he described as spiritually dangerous and outside God’s original design.

Addressing his congregation, the cleric expressed concern over what he called a growing moral and spiritual decline within the church.

He insisted that marital intimacy must remain within what he described as God’s ordained pattern for male and female, warning couples against practices he believes corrupt the sanctity of the marriage covenant.

“Suddenly it’s all about sex… the one God made for male and female, you don’t want it anymore. You want it from the back,” he said, arguing that even within marriage, such acts amount to defiling the marriage bed.

Drawing a parallel with the biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah, Pastor Ogbueli maintained that the judgment associated with those cities, in his view, extended beyond same-sex relationships to include any sexual act he considers unnatural, regardless of marital status.

He further cautioned couples that engaging in such behavior “invites Satan into that bedroom,” claiming that some practices are influenced by “the spirits of the Nephilim” and fallen beings seeking expression through human bodies.

He added that these influences could gain access through immoral acts, generational bloodlines, or sexual contact with individuals already exposed to such spirits.

Calling for urgent spiritual awakening, the cleric declared that “the revival is taking compulsory in every church now because of the depth of iniquity,” stressing the need for vigilance among both young and old believers.
