The Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairmanship Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Christopher Maikalangu and that of the African Democratic Congress, Paul Moses, recorded an equal number of votes in Supreme Court Staff Quarters polling units in Karu, Abuja, during the Federal Capital Territory election, even as voter turnout remained low.

At around 3:30 p.m., Independent National Electoral Commission Presiding Officer Martins Sani announced the results at Karu, Supreme Court Quarters, polling unit 072, in the presence of party agents, stating that Maikalangu of APC received 12 votes, while Moses of ADC also secured 12 votes.

In the same election, Sani declared that the Peoples Democratic Party candidate received 4 votes, the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate secured 2 votes, while the Social Democratic Party and Action Democratic Party candidates each garnered 1 vote.

The presiding officer noted that there were no void votes and reported that only 32 of the 749 registered voters cast their ballots.
