The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has sacked the Senate Minority Chief Whip, Senator Darlington Nwokocha of the Labour Party, LP, from the upper legislative chamber.
Consequently, the appellate court declared Col. Austin Akobundu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the Abia Central Senatorial election.
