Iniabasi Akpabio, daughter of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has been appointed as the State Patron of the City Boys Movement, a prominent socio-political support group dedicated to advancing good governance and youth participation across Nigeria.
The appointment was formally announced during a special investiture ceremony held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The event drew political associates, youth leaders, and members of the movement who praised Iniabasi for her ongoing commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
Speaking after the ceremony, the new State Patron expressed appreciation for the recognition and pledged to work closely with the group to promote civic engagement, skill development, and grassroots mobilization among young Nigerians.
City Boys Movement is a nationwide organization that has emerged in support of President Bola Tinubu and has since evolved into a platform for policy advocacy and leadership development. The group’s state coordinator, in his remarks, described Iniabasi’s appointment as a strategic decision aimed at strengthening the movement’s influence and encouraging more women to take active roles in governance.
With her new role, Iniabasi Akpabio is expected to spearhead statewide initiatives that align with the group’s vision of fostering inclusive growth and political awareness among citizens.
