The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has commended Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno’s leadership. He described it as purposeful and impactful.
Musa stated this during a courtesy visit to the governor on Thursday at Government House, Uyo, according to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ekerete Udoh, on Friday.
Musa said he was impressed with the road network while driving across the state, saying the feats were not beyond reach.
He said he had been an ardent follower of the ARISE programmes, noting that what he had seen on the ground was evidence of a government committed to the people.
“My prayer is that others will also watch and see what has been done, and to know that these things are possible, it’s not rocket science,” he said.
Musa, who was in the state to deliver the convocation lecture at the combined convocation ceremony of Akwa Ibom State University, appreciated the governor for his warm reception and the opportunity to deliver the lecture, and commended him for delivering good governance in the state.
He noted that Akwa Ibom was peaceful because the people felt loved and cared for, and prayed that Nigeria would become as peaceful as it used to be, especially in the North.
