FC Bayern Munich have confirmed that goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich have extended their contracts with the club until 2027, securing continuity and experience between the posts for the German giants.

The Bundesliga champions announced on Friday that both Neuer and Ulreich have signed new deals running until 30 June 2027, ending speculation over the future of the veteran shot-stoppers. Neuer, who joined Bayern in 2011 and has since become a club legend, will continue his illustrious spell in Munich, where he has won multiple Bundesliga titles, Champions League trophies and domestic cups while redefining the role of the modern sweeper-keeper.

Ulreich, long regarded as a reliable and loyal deputy, also committed his future to the club, ensuring Bayern retain a stable and experienced goalkeeping duo for the coming seasons. His extension underlines the trust placed in him by the coaching staff, having stepped in on numerous occasions during Neuer’s injuries and busy fixture schedules.

The decision to extend both players’ contracts is seen as a boost to squad stability as Bayern plan for the future while still relying on the leadership and know-how of seasoned professionals. With the new deals in place, Bayern can focus on strengthening other areas of the squad, confident that their goalkeeping department is secured through 2027.
