Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has acknowledged that Kylian Mbappé has faced challenges adapting to a new role at the club, attributing the forward’s recent struggles to positional changes.

Speaking on the situation, Pérez explained that Mbappé has been deployed differently compared to his time at Paris Saint-Germain, which has affected his performances.

“Kylian has been playing in a position different from the one he’s been playing at PSG. That’s thrown him off a bit,” Pérez said, suggesting that the tactical shift has disrupted the forward’s usual rhythm and effectiveness.

Despite the adjustment period, Pérez made it clear that the club is already working to address the issue. “We’re going to correct all the things we think we haven’t done well,” he added, signaling that changes are expected to better suit Mbappé’s strengths.

Mbappé’s arrival at Real Madrid was one of the most high-profile transfers in recent years, bringing significant expectations. However, his adaptation has been closely scrutinized, with attention focused on how he fits into the team’s attacking system.

Pérez’s comments indicate that the club remains confident in Mbappé’s quality and is committed to optimizing his role as Real Madrid continues its pursuit of domestic and European success.
