The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), has officially revived its campus radio station, Agri-Voice FM 106.9, after successfully cancelling a ₦27 million debt associated with its previous radio contract.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, announced the development during a press conference marking her first 100 days in office.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the radio station, which had been inactive for over four years, will serve as a platform for student training, agricultural education and revenue generation for the institution.

She noted that Agri-Voice FM will provide farmers with information on improved crop varieties, climate-smart agriculture and modern livestock management practices, while also offering practical learning opportunities for students interested in broadcasting and communication.

The station, formerly known as Green 106.9 FM, is currently on test transmission as it prepares for full operations.
