Residents of Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State have commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for the significant improvement in electricity supply, describing it as a major relief for households, businesses and economic activities in the community.
The residents recalled that the area had endured weeks of prolonged power outages, which disrupted commercial activities, affected livelihoods and made daily living difficult before the recent restoration of stable electricity.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Ugochukwu Eneh described the improved power supply as a welcome intervention, saying it has restored normalcy to his business and reduced his dependence on costly fuel-powered generators.
He noted that he can now preserve beverages, operate electrical appliances efficiently and enjoy reliable lighting without resorting to candles.
Also speaking, Mrs. Uche Nicholas said the steady electricity supply has improved the quality of life for her family, enabling them to preserve food and enjoy greater comfort at home.
A dry cleaner, Mr. Maxwell Ugo, said the prolonged blackout had severely affected his business, but expressed delight that the return of stable electricity has revived his operations and improved productivity.
The residents expressed appreciation to Governor Soludo for prioritising infrastructure development and improving public service delivery across the state.
They also appealed for the sustained provision of stable electricity and urged future administrations to build on the developmental strides being recorded in Anambra State.
