The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved a number of strategic projects and initiatives as part of activities marking the state’s 35th anniversary, reaffirming the Soludo administration’s commitment to sustainable development and people-centred governance.
Among the highlights of the anniversary celebration is the planned commissioning of the Ekwulobia Flyover and the Amawbia–Ekwulobia–Uga Dual Carriageway, two major infrastructure projects designed to improve transportation, ease traffic congestion and boost economic activities across the state.
The projects are scheduled to be inaugurated on August 27, 2026, as part of the events commemorating Anambra State’s 35 years of creation.
The State Executive Council said the initiatives reflect the government’s continued investment in critical infrastructure aimed at enhancing connectivity, promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents.
According to the Council, the projects underscore Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of building a safer, smarter and more prosperous Anambra through sustainable infrastructure and inclusive development.
The 35th anniversary celebration is expected to showcase the state’s developmental strides while highlighting key achievements of the Soludo administration across various sectors.
