The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State has intensified its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections with the inauguration of 13-man booth executives across the 23 polling units in Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4.
The inauguration was led by the Ngor Okpala Local Government Chairman of the party, Sir Emeka Amajirionwu, and attracted party leaders, members and supporters from across the ward.
Addressing the gathering, Amajirionwu expressed satisfaction with the turnout and level of organisation, commending ward leaders and stakeholders for their efforts in strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
He urged the newly inaugurated booth executives to take their responsibilities seriously by intensifying voter mobilisation and community outreach, stressing that a strong polling-unit structure is essential to the success of any political party.
A party chieftain, Mr. John Eke, charged the new executives to take ownership of their respective polling units and mobilise at least 10 committed voters who would actively participate in the electoral process.
The State Deputy Woman Leader, Lady Leticia Okere, commended the inclusion of women in the booth executive structures and encouraged them to use their networks and organisational capacity to expand the party’s support base.
Also speaking, the Apex Leader of Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4, Dr. Chigozie Okereke, appreciated the party leadership for the initiative and urged members to remain committed to the ADC.
Okereke said the current economic hardship affecting many residents made it necessary for the party to take its message directly to communities and engage with voters at the grassroots.
The inauguration forms part of the ADC’s broader strategy to strengthen booth-level structures, expand its presence across Ngor Okpala and enhance voter mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
