Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has issued a strongly worded message amid renewed public attention on the long-running controversy involving actor Yul Edochie, May Yul Edochie and Judy Austin.
In a lengthy post shared with her followers, the actress declared that she would not be intimidated or pressured into abandoning her position, stressing that challenges only strengthen her resolve.
Rita said she does not “break under pressure,” but instead becomes stronger and more determined when faced with criticism or opposition.
The actress also explained that her silence should not be interpreted as fear, saying she sometimes chooses to remain quiet in order to preserve peace, observe situations and allow people to reveal their intentions.
She further adopted a firm tone, maintaining that although she does not deliberately seek confrontation, she would not back down if pushed beyond her limits.
Rita said she believes in responding to respect with respect and peace with peace, but warned against attempts to provoke, humiliate or intimidate her.
She concluded her message by reaffirming her determination to remain authentic, stand firm and continue pursuing her goals despite opposition.
The actress has, over the years, publicly expressed support for May Yul Edochie amid the highly publicised family controversy, making her latest statement a subject of renewed interest among fans and social media users.
