Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended Nigerian chef, restaurateur and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, for her courage, determination and adventurous spirit, which he said contributed to her record-breaking achievements.

Governor Eno gave the commendation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when he received the celebrated chef, who is an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, at his office in Government House, Uyo.

The Governor said Baci’s success story demonstrated how determination and courage could help individuals break barriers and achieve remarkable feats.

He also praised her for bringing recognition to Akwa Ibom through her culinary achievements and encouraged her to continue promoting the state on the global stage.

Speaking after her meeting with the Governor, Baci expressed admiration for the pace of infrastructural development, peaceful atmosphere and investment opportunities in Akwa Ibom under the Eno administration.

Describing the state as “amazingly beautiful,” the chef commended Governor Eno’s vision and leadership, saying the transformation taking place across the state was remarkable and encouraging.

Baci also praised the facilities at the Victor Attah International Airport, describing the infrastructure as first-rate and impressive.

She further highlighted the hospitality and industrious nature of the people of Akwa Ibom, expressing her willingness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support the state’s development.

The Guinness World Record holder encouraged tourists and investors to visit Akwa Ibom and explore its environmental, recreational, hospitality and other investment opportunities

According to her, greater patronage of the state’s tourism and investment potentials could create opportunities for businesses and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

Baci also urged residents of Akwa Ibom to continue promoting love, unity and peace, describing these values as essential to attracting sustainable development.

Aniekan Umanah; Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Anieti Udofia; Chairman, State Hotels and Tourism Board, Mrs. Ime Udo; Delivery Advisor on Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh; and other government officials.
