First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu will move Nigeria from economic reforms to prosperity if re-elected in 2027.
She made this known on Saturday at the APC North-Central Mega Rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where she called on party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the next general elections.
According to the First Lady, giving the president another term would allow his administration to consolidate its achievements and make further progress in key sectors of the economy.
“The Independence Day message of Mr President was titled ‘From Reforms to Prosperity’,” she said, adding that the country was beginning to experience economic stabilisation.
Oluremi claimed that the naira was gaining ground against foreign currencies, investors were returning to the country, and farmers were resuming agricultural activities.
She also commended state governors for their infrastructure projects, particularly road construction, describing the current period as the most impressive she had witnessed in that regard.
“I have been in the Senate for 12 years. This is the best time I will see the government fixing roads and building a lot of infrastructure,” she stated.
The First Lady further highlighted the administration’s food support programme, explaining that it was designed to provide nutritious meals for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
She added that children suffering from malnutrition were receiving food and medical treatment to improve their health and support healthy development.
On education, Oluremi said students were also benefiting from the Federal Government’s funding initiatives aimed at supporting access to education.
Describing President Tinubu as a leader willing to take difficult decisions, she urged APC members to intensify efforts to educate Nigerians about the administration’s policies and programmes.
She called on Nigerians to support the president’s second-term ambition, urging voters to back APC candidates across all levels of government in the 2027 elections.
“Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, and vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom.”
