Tiwa Savage, the renowned Nigerian singer, has lodged a petition with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, pointing fingers at Afrobeats sensation Davido for alleged life-threatening messages.
In her formal complaint, Savage highlighted Davido’s intimidating conduct, warning authorities to hold him accountable should any harm befall her.
She attributed the conflict to her friendship with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s baby mama, amidst their ongoing disputes.
The petition partly reads, “I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, and Mr David Adeleke popularly known as Davido.”
Savage alleged receiving derogatory messages from Davido after posting a picture featuring herself and Sophia Momodu, prompting her fears for her safety.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the legitimacy of the singer’s complaint, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
Social media buzzed when both Davido and Savage unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking speculations about the rift, which some fans linked to Savage’s relationship with Sophia Momodu.
