Anugwu also reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to maintaining professional standards, meeting regulatory requirements and implementing the recommendations of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
According to her, the accreditation would strengthen specialist medical training at the facility and contribute to the development of qualified medical professionals capable of improving healthcare delivery.
Leading the accreditation team, Professor A.A. Oluwale commended the department for its efforts towards meeting the requirements for the programme.
He explained that the assessment covered infrastructure, staffing, clinical services and the institution’s capacity to deliver effective residency training. He urged the department to maintain the required standards and pursue continuous improvement.
