Patrick Amenuvor, a Ghanaian man aspiring to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual standing, has suddenly called off his “Stand-a-thon” merely a few hours after initiating the challenge on January 14, 2024.
Amenuvor’s ambitious goal was to remain standing without sitting for an entire week, concluding on January 21, 2024.
However, on the very day he commenced the attempt, January 14, 2024, Amenuvor decided to halt the endeavor, citing a belief that he had unintentionally breached some rules outlined by the Guinness World Record.
Explaining his unexpected decision, Amenuvor stated, “In light of these developments, a comprehensive review by management is imperative. We aim to rectify any oversights and prevent future errors that may impede subsequent attempts.”
While expressing gratitude to his supporters and fellow Ghanaians for their backing, Amenuvor emphasized that the stand-a-thon was a passionate dream he is determined to fulfill, promising to address the challenges and consider future attempts.
