A feared clash among APC supporters has resulted in the mysterious disappearance of Ubokobong Ime Udoworen, Youth Leader of APC in Akwa Ibom North-West, and Special Assistant to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
According to reports, the clash erupted over accusations of Udoworen diverting Christmas/New Year gifts for the party’s youth wing.
Udoworen was brutally attacked by alleged hoodlums sponsored by party leaders following the distribution of largesse, including cash and bags of rice, across the Senatorial District.
APC Publicity Secretary Barr. OtoAbasi Udo confirmed Udoworen’s merciless beating.
Despite efforts to locate Udoworen, his whereabouts remain unknown, causing distress for his family.
His lifeless body was allegedly dragged into a car on January 19, 2024.
His parents demand justice and call on the press to spotlight the shocking incident.
“I demand to see my son dead or alive so I can bury him,” his father, Obong Ime Udooworen, a retired police chief and former Chairman of Ukanafun LGA, lamented while speaking to Leadership.
They urge event organizers and security agencies to produce Udoworen within 24 hours and call upon political figures, including President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, and the Chairman of Ikot Ekpene LGA to intervene.
