Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, has implemented a strict measure ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, instructing players to power down their mobile phones daily from 9 pm, as reported by The Punch.
The decision follows observations of some players indulging in the game ‘Call of Duty’ on their devices, prompting Peseiro to emphasize the need for uninterrupted focus leading up to the crucial clash against South Africa.
In a bid to minimize distractions and optimize preparation, Peseiro has reinforced this directive, ensuring players prioritize rest and concentration in the build-up to the encounter at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake on Wednesday, February 7.
“The players have been told to put off their phones from 9 pm to rest well and avoid distractions of any form by the coach,” disclosed a source within the camp.
In tandem with this initiative, Peseiro has also limited his engagement with the media, intensifying his focus on preparations for the upcoming match against South Africa.
