Dr. Doyin Okupe has, today, withdrawn as the Vice Presidential candidate of Labour Party. According to a social media post he made, the former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan announced that the national chairman of the party will shortly announce the substantive Vice Presidential candidate of the party.
“This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC. A replacement will be announced by d national chairman of d party shortly. I feel greatly blessed to hv been part of the foundation of success 4 the LP.”
Recall that Okupe had occupied the Vice Presidential slot for Labour Party as a placeholder.
