Not even today’s torrential rainfall in Ugwunagbo could stop the governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party, APP, in Abia state, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, and his team from spreading the gospel of his well-formulated actionable policies and programmes to the indigenes of Ugwunagbo who, regardless of the rain, waited patiently in their respective wards to receive the good news.
In continuation of the ward-round tour that kicked off yesterday, Chief Kalu, joined by his running mate, Prof. Osondu Akoma; APP’s Abia South Senatorial District and Ugwunagbo State House of Assembly Candidates, Hon. Signor Kanu and Chief (Mrs.) Fortune Nwangaga, respectively, and a host of his entourage, traversed around four wards, visiting even the remote parts of Ugwunagbo L.G.A.
Ward 10, Ngwaiyiekwe; Ward 2, Umuodo; Ward 9A and Ward 9B of Umunneato were visited, with their outlined infrastructural and human capital needs well-documented by the APP governorship candidate.
Intermittently, however, the team paid courtesy visits to the palaces of His Royal Highness, Eze (Dr.) Daniel Anuchamba Ogbulu, Isi I of Isimanu Autonomous Community and His Royal Majesty, Eze (Hon.) Felix Uzoigwe, Eze Udo II of Etiti-Ala Autonomous Community.
At the palace of the latter, a chieftaincy title, “Omara Eme I of Etiti-Ala,” was bestowed on Chief Kalu by the king and royal fathers of the palace.
