The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has alluded to the belief of most Nigerians that not all members of the Obedient Movement are members of the Labour Party.
He disclosed this while speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show on this week Monday, which was monitored by MUK TV.
According to the former Anambra state governor, members of the movement are free to support candidates of their choice in the upcoming governorship and state assembly elections.
Obi, who came third in the Feb. 25 presidential election that Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress APC was declared the winner, said members of the movement can vote for anyone they see as the best candidate in their various states, nothing that Obidient Movement is not an extension of the Labour Party but a group that believes in his political ideology.
It would be recalled that many House of Representatives and senatorial candidates rode on Obi’s popularity to win their elections for their various constituencies.
