The 2023 governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party, APP, in Abia State, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), has used this year’s Children’s Day to advocate for quality education for Nigerian children, reiterating his belief that quality education (formal or informal) is a way of molding the children into good characters and securing the nation’s future.
Chief Kalu, who is benevolently a benefactor and sponsor of several scholarships and skill acquisitions for many students and children in Abia State and beyond, in his message for this year’s Children’s Day shared on his official Facebook account, described children as the greatest treasure of the nation, noting that what they become in the future lies in the quality of education given to them, as that would mold them into good characters.
The message, as obtained by MUK TV, partly reads, “As a nation, they are our greatest assets and treasures, and what becomes of us in the future depends on what we teach them to become.”
The former Chief of Staff to the Abia state government also urged parents, guardians, citizens, and the government to protect the children, love them, and make the country a better place for them.
