A section of the Supreme Court complex, located at the Three Arms Zone, Abuja, was gutted by fire on Monday morning.

The fire, MUK TV gathered, started at 7 a.m. at the time when cleaners in the office resumed work for the day.

The cleaners on duty and some of the workers who resumed work early detected the fire and raised the alarm.

While the cause of the fire could not be ascertained, sources told MUK TV that the fire may have been caused by faulty electrical connections.

Before the arrival of the men of the Fire Service who quenched the fire, the fire had affected the Justices Chamber in the apex court and some other offices.

Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, the Supreme Court had not released any official statement regarding the incident.
