The appeal court sitting in Lagos has upheld the election of Chief Alex Ikwechegh (Onyeocha n’Aba) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the duly elected House of Representatives member for the Aba North and South Federal Constituency.
While affirming Ikwechegh’s election, which the Abia State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal had upheld, the appellate court consequently dismissed the appeal of Emeka Nnamani of the Labour Party (LP) challenging the tribunal’s judgment.
Recall that MUK had reported that Nnamani was sacked by the tribunal on the grounds of certificate forgery.
