Isreal Afeare, popularly known as Isreal DMW, took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal the breakdown of his marriage with his wife, Sheila, sharing a detailed account of their relationship.
In his poignant narrative, Isreal DMW disclosed that Sheila departed from their home on August 8, 2023, despite his significant support throughout their marriage.
He highlighted instances of generosity, including financial assistance, purchasing an iPhone 12 Pro Max and later upgrading it to a 14 Pro Max, and indulging in shopping sprees, all before their wedding. However, he lamented a noticeable change in Sheila’s demeanor post-marriage, as she sought to set standards for him, influenced by her newfound prominence on Instagram.
Despite marrying someone with a Christian background and a virgin, Isreal DMW underscored the disillusionment he faced. He expressed frustration over Sheila’s accusation that he was subservient to his boss, Davido.
Reflecting on their relationship’s inception, he recounted their meeting, friendship, intimacy, and Sheila’s conditions regarding her virginity and past familial history.
He revealed, “We fully agreed with her terms and conditions. I immediately upgraded her unkept situation…I did a lot of shopping for her. Bought her clothes and bags…without sleeping with her then.”
However, post-wedding, Sheila transformed, asserting her newfound social status and imposing standards on Isreal DMW. He refuted claims of physical abuse and emphasized his respect for women, shedding light on the financial support he provided for her upkeep.
Despite her accusations against him, he detailed instances where Davido had supported their relationship, including financial assistance and canceling a lucrative show appearance to attend their wedding.
Israel DMW concluded by cautioning against hasty trust in people, emphasizing the unpredictability of individuals and the potential for drastic changes in character.
