Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, dispelled rumors of his potential presidential bid in 2027, asserting his staunch stance against disloyalty by refusing to run against his mentor, President Bola Tinubu.
Maintaining his unwavering commitment to Tinubu’s administration, Wike recalled his history of advocating for a power shift and supporting Tinubu’s presidential aspirations alongside five other Governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by forming the G5.
In an interview in Abuja on Friday, as monitored by MUK TV, Wike emphasized the significance of maintaining integrity in politics, stating, “Tinubu made me the FCT minister, and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No! Tinubu made me minister; people don’t understand, I have character.”
Addressing potential future endeavors, he firmly stated, “What will happen in 2027? I stood, and I said I was not going to support injustice. I was threatened that they would do me this and that. They tried many options, including using Major Generals.”
