The traditional ruler of Neni Community, HRH Damian Ezeani, who faced suspension for granting a chieftaincy title to Senator Ubah, has publicly apologized to Anambra State, Governor Charles Soludo.

As reported by MUK TV, Recall that the monarch had been suspended by the Anambra State Government for his unauthorized action through a statement from the state’s Commissioner  for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne.

However, in a four-minutes video, Mr. Ezeani, on Thursday,  expressed remorse for conferring the title without proper clearances, per Premium Times.

“I want to offer my profound, unreserved apology with all sincerity and humility to the Government of Anambra State and the governor, Charles Soludo,” he stated.

He pleaded with Governor Soludo to forgive any similar offences committed by other traditional rulers in the council, emphasizing his commitment to maintaining a positive relationship between Neni Community and the state government.

“I am offering this apology on behalf of the entire Neni Community,” he said, pointing out that he was brought up to always apologise to anyone he offends.

The suspended monarch, who had conferred the chieftaincy title during the Yuletide, did not confirm or deny the speculation of withdrawing the title in the video clip.
