Professor Pat Utomi has declared that presidential contenders Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Peter Obi (LP), and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (NNPP) have reached a consensus to establish a formidable mega party, aiming to seize control from the ruling APC in the 2027 elections.

Utomi made this disclosure during a Sunday night interview on Channels TV.

When questioned about the alignment of Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, and Okey Nwosu, Utomi emphatically responded with a “yes!”

Regarding the coalition’s name, Utomi remained tight-lipped, stating, “We’re not talking about names yet.”

He emphasized that the initiative involves not only politicians but also leaders from social movements and the labor movement.

Utomi, who has been instrumental in creating a new tribe committed to values such as refusing bribes, underscored the need for a clean start.

He highlighted the perceived collapse of culture and values in Nigeria, stating that a fresh beginning is essential.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s political landscape since 1999, Utomi candidly remarked, “Let’s be very honest with ourselves, what we have managed is to create platforms that enable machine politics from which to grab power, usually for state capture.”

He challenged the notion of improved quality of life since 1999, pointing out the alarming reality of Nigeria becoming the poverty capital of the world and a focal point for widespread violence.
