The Actors Guild of Nigeria has swiftly dismissed social media speculation regarding the passing of Nollywood veteran, Zack Orji.
Social media platforms were abuzz with false reports of the actor’s demise on Tuesday.
However, Emeka Rollas, the National President of AGN, took to Instagram to quash the rumors, confirming Orji’s well-being.
Rollas emphasized that Orji is alive and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.
In a statement on his Instagram account, Rollas denounced the spread of false news and assured fans that Orji is alive and well.
He declared, “Mr. Zack Orji is alive. Please ignore mischief-makers who enjoy circulating fake news.
“This reprehensible act demonstrates the wickedness of some individuals. It is utterly unacceptable.
“He will not perish but thrive to proclaim the good deeds of God in Jesus’ name.”
Orji had previously been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the National Hospital in Abuja on New Year’s Eve.
