Residents of Umuojima, Tonimas, Isiahia, and Umuode are in hiding after unknown gunmen launched an early Monday morning attack, forcing residents to remain indoors out of fear.
Some of the residents who spoke to MUK TV expressed fear, saying they were too scared to leave their homes.
A video obtained by a local radio station, Magic FM, shows a vehicle engulfed in flames and a popular eatery completely destroyed.
This incident follows a similar attack on July 21st in Aba, which resulted in the deaths of three civilians and a policeman.
Attempts to reach security agencies for comment have been unsuccessful, as calls remain unanswered.
