An Iranian defence industry complex in the central city of Isfahan has come under fresh attack amid ongoing US‑Israeli strikes on military and strategic facilities across Iran.
Security and military sources reported that precision air and missile strikes in recent days have repeatedly targeted infrastructure in and around Isfahan, a hub for Iran’s military‑industrial production, missile development and nuclear‑related activity.
Satellite imagery and defence analyses indicate that earlier rounds of attacks had already destroyed or badly damaged key metallurgy and production facilities linked to Iran’s nuclear and missile programmes at the Isfahan complex, with new strikes now hitting additional defence industry sites and associated infrastructure.
Analysts say the renewed bombardment of Isfahan is aimed at degrading Iran’s capacity to manufacture drones, ballistic missiles and advanced electronic systems that support its wider regional military posture.
The strike on Iranian defence industries in Isfahan forms part of a wider campaign, dubbed by some Western officials as Operation Epic Fury, in which US and Israeli forces have hit hundreds of targets, including command‑and‑control centres, missile launch sites and air defence systems across Iran.
Regional watchers warn that the continued focus on industrial and nuclear‑related infrastructure in Isfahan and other cities risks further escalation, as Tehran vows retaliation while also seeking to repair and fortify strategic sites against future attacks.
