Abia 2027 governorship aspirant, Mascot Uzor Kalu, has urged residents of Abia State to remain hopeful and resilient in the face of current challenges, assuring that a brighter future is within reach through purposeful leadership and collective effort.
Speaking to journalists on Day 2 of his “Fix Abia” daily message series, the former Chief of Staff to the Abia State Government highlighted the enduring power of hope as a catalyst for change and a driver of civic engagement.
Kalu acknowledged that many Abians may feel discouraged by prevailing conditions but stressed the importance of sustaining belief in a new direction for the state.
He noted that hope should go beyond wishful thinking, describing it as a call to action for citizens to stay united, involved, and ready to embrace transformative leadership.
According to him, his vision for Abia is anchored on rebuilding trust, creating economic opportunities, and delivering measurable improvements in living standards across the state.
He observed that from Aba to Ohafia, and from Umuahia to Ukwa, there is a desire for change among the people, adding that sustained hope and determination can shape a more prosperous future.
The governorship hopeful further pointed to increasing public discourse across the state as evidence of a population ready for a shift, emphasising that when hope is shared collectively, it evolves into a force that cannot be ignored.
Kalu encouraged Abians to resist despair and remain optimistic, noting that the journey toward a better Abia has already begun, driven by a renewed sense of hope among the people.
