A middle-aged woman, identified as Oluwasola Adebayo, has died after reportedly slumping while accompanying her child to a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) centre in Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, according to Channels Television, threw the community into confusion as eyewitnesses said she began to feel weak shortly after arriving near the examination venue before collapsing.
It reported that she was confirmed dead on the spot despite attempts to revive her.
At the time of the incident, her child was said to be inside the examination hall writing the UTME, reportedly unaware of the tragedy unfolding outside.
Residents described the scene as distressing, with passersby gathering in shock as news of her sudden death spread through the area.
The cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed.
