A former Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has announced that he will not leave the African Democratic Congress following Peter Obi’s departure from the party.
Ihedioha made his position known on Wednesday through his verified social media handles.
According to him, he and other members had invested significant effort in building the coalition under the ADC, adding that he sees no reason to leave the party at this time.
The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said that although he would have preferred Obi to remain in the ADC, he respects his decision to pursue his political ambitions elsewhere.
Obi and former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, left ADC on Sunday for the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
