Presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has announced that he will boycott the party’s presidential primary results scheduled to be announced today, citing alleged widespread vote-rigging.
Hayatu-Deen made his position known in a statement today, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the conduct of the primary election and alleging that the process was compromised.
According to him, the decision to boycott the announcement is a protest against what he described as irregularities that undermined the credibility of the exercise.
The ADC aspirant accused party officials of failing to ensure a transparent and fair process, warning that such actions could erode confidence in the party’s internal democratic mechanisms.
As of the time of filing this report, the party leadership has yet to officially respond to the allegations raised by Hayatu-Deen.
The development introduces fresh tension into the ADC’s presidential selection process, with observers closely watching how the party will address the claims and proceed with the announcement of results.
