The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has been hospitalised after reportedly collapsing during a political consultation in the state.
Ogala disclosed on Friday that she was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, after losing consciousness. She later assured supporters that her condition had stabilised following prompt medical attention.
A video circulating online showed the actress-turned-politician in a wheelchair interacting with patients and hospital staff after her recovery. She also led prayers for healing and speedy recovery for those receiving treatment at the facility.
The incident has sparked concern among supporters and members of her political camp as preparations for the next governorship election gather momentum in Abia State.
As of the time of this report, the cause of the health scare remains undisclosed, and there has been no official confirmation regarding her discharge from the hospital.
