A young boy in Umuahia, Abia State, has been apprehended after allegedly climbing a neighbour’s two-storey building and vandalising iron railings at the rear section of the property.
According to reports, the suspect had already removed parts of the iron rails and was allegedly preparing to sell them as scrap before he was caught by residents and handed over for questioning.
The incident has sparked concerns among residents over rising cases of vandalism and theft of building materials, with community members calling for increased vigilance and stricter measures against such acts.
