A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the arrest of , the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu State for the 2027 election, over allegations of certificate forgery.

The order followed an ex parte application filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which accused Nnaji of failing to honour invitations relating to an ongoing investigation into alleged forgery of academic and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) credentials.

The anti-corruption agency also secured court approval to declare the former minister wanted through newspapers, social media platforms, and other communication channels.

Nnaji, who served as Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology after his appointment by President in 2023, had previously resigned amid controversies surrounding the authenticity of documents submitted during his ministerial screening.

The court granted all requests made by the ICPC and ruled that the arrest order would remain in force until Nnaji is apprehended and made available for investigation.

The allegations remain subject to investigation and judicial determination.
