The Enugu State Government has taken a major step towards establishing a School of Aviation, with the Commissioner for Transportation leading an inspection visit to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, to assess a potential site for the project.
The proposed aviation school, approved by Governor , is aimed at boosting education, innovation, and manpower development in the aviation and transportation sectors.
Management of IMT described the initiative as a strategic move that will strengthen technical and professional training, create opportunities for students, and enhance Enugu State’s position as a centre for academic and industrial development.
The instituton expressed optimism that the project would deliver significant benefits to Enugu State and the wider South-East region by expanding access to specialised aviation education and skills acquisition.
