The Commander General of the Abia State Homeland Security Agency has visited Umuopara Clan in Umuahia South Local Government Area to address growing security concerns and strengthen community-based security efforts.
During the visit, the security chief reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state through collaboration with local communities and security structures.

He expressed concern over rising incidents of insecurity in the area and urged members of the Clan Vigilante to intensify patrols, strengthen intelligence gathering, and remain vigilant in the discharge of their duties.
The Commander General also called on residents to support security efforts by providing timely and credible information, stressing that effective intelligence is critical to crime prevention and the apprehension of criminal elements.
He assured the community of the Agency’s continued presence and commitment to working with traditional rulers, community leaders, vigilante groups, and other stakeholders to maintain peace and public safety.
The visit ended with an interactive session where community members highlighted security challenges and pledged continued cooperation with the Agency to keep Umuopara safe and secure.
