Security operatives have arrested two additional suspects allegedly linked to the recent kidnapping incident at the Vegetable Market in Benin City, Edo State.

The suspects, who reportedly fled to Delta State after the abduction, were tracked, apprehended, and subsequently transferred back to Edo State, where they are currently in custody awaiting prosecution.

Their arrest follows ongoing investigations into the kidnapping case, which recently led to the rescue of the victim and the apprehension of other members of the suspected criminal gang.

Authorities say the latest breakthrough demonstrates growing collaboration among security agencies across state borders in the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes.

The development has been welcomed by residents and stakeholders, who have continued to call for decisive action against criminal elements threatening public safety.

The Edo State Government has repeatedly reaffirmed its commitment to tackling insecurity, while security agencies have intensified efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks operating within and around the state.

The suspects are expected to face prosecution in accordance with the law as investigations continue.
