Real Madrid C.F. announces that the Spanish Supreme Court has definitively confirmed the nullity of the decisions adopted by LaLiga’s president that prevented our club from participating in several meetings of the body responsible for overseeing the management of LaLiga’s audiovisual rights during 2022.

On April 10, 2026, the First Chamber of the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by LaLiga and upheld the judicial rulings declaring that those decisions violated Real Madrid’s participation rights and had been adopted without following the legally required procedure.

Far from accepting this ruling, LaLiga subsequently filed a motion for annulment in an attempt to challenge a judgment that was already final in its legal reasoning. The Supreme Court has decided not to admit this motion and has expressly rejected the use of this mechanism to reopen a legal debate that has already been settled by the courts.

This new ruling definitively confirms the correctness of the position maintained by Real Madrid C.F. throughout these proceedings and brings to an end LaLiga’s repeated attempts to challenge decisions that have been declared unlawful.

Real Madrid C.F. expresses its satisfaction with this judicial ruling, which reaffirms the principles of legality, legal certainty, and respect for the rights of the clubs that make up the institutions of professional football.
